The idea of the Signal Processing Symposium arose in 2003 during the 12th IEEE-SPIE Symposium on Advanced Electronics. There, Prof. Krzysztof Kulpa – the Honorary Symposium Chair of SPSympo-2023 – organized and chaired the Digital Signal Processing and Radar Signal Processing Session. Two years later, the first Signal Processing Symposium was organized independently of the SPIE Symposium. This was Prof. Kulpa’s initiative undertaken in a collaboration with the Radiolocation and Digital Signal Processing Students’ Research Group of Warsaw University of Technology.
